How is inheritance divided between a father, a mother, a full brother, and two full sisters?

If the deceased leaves behind only a mother, a father, a full brother, and two full sisters, then the mother receives one-sixth due to the presence of siblings. The remainder goes to the father by way of 'asabah (residuary heir), based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Give the Fara'id (prescribed shares) to those who are entitled to them; then whatever remains is for the closest male relative." The full siblings receive nothing due to the presence of the father. The inheritance is divided into six shares: one share for the mother, and five shares for the father. This is the view of the majority of scholars, and it is what we rule by.
