Does memorizing religious knowledge to fulfill one's societal role and memorizing the Quran to lead the youth in Tarawih prayer constitute a minor form of shirk?

Seeking knowledge, understanding the religion, and studying the Holy Qur’an are among the best acts of worship. If your intention is to benefit others and for the sake of Allah and the Hereafter, then this is not showing off (riya’) or shirk (polytheism); rather, it is a righteous deed for which you will be rewarded. Riya’ is the minor shirk, such as performing a deed for people to see and praise you. One must be wary of this and perform deeds solely for Allah. There is no harm in praying from the mushaf (Qur’an) during the Ramadan night prayers (qiyam) out of necessity.
