How can one deal with recurring marital disputes with a husband who claims disobedience, and what is the optimal course of action given the constant feeling of guilt and blame from him, coupled with the desire not to displease God or the husband?

Marriage is a solemn covenant established by Allah for love, mercy, and tranquility between spouses. This is only achieved through good companionship and each party fulfilling their obligations towards the other. The wife must obey her husband in what is good and remain in her home. She is entitled to sustenance, clothing, shelter, and good companionship. The husband is advised to fulfill his rights and to be patient with what he may dislike in his wife, seeking the good in her, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, advised. As for the wife, she should fear Allah regarding her husband, for he is her paradise and her hell, and her obedience to him is obligatory. If she transgresses Allah's bounds by insulting or quarreling with him, she increases in sin and loses his respect in the eyes of her children. The erring wife should hasten to repent and seek forgiveness from her husband, and treat him with kindness. If she cannot rectify her situation, she should consider khula' (divorce initiated by the wife) to avoid further sin. Therefore, strive to reform your home and make your husband happy by improving your character, acknowledging your mistakes, making supplications, keeping good company, and strengthening your faith through shared acts of worship.
