What is the authenticity of the hadith that states: "Prayer is the pillar of the religion, fasting is a shield, silence is better, charity extinguishes the wrath of the Lord, and silence is better, and jihad is the pinnacle of the religion, and silence is better"?

The Hadith was not reported in the books of Sunnah, and silence is not absolutely better than prayer, fasting, charity, or jihad. Rather, the virtue of silence is limited to refraining from uttering falsehoods. Speaking good is better than silence because its benefit extends beyond its speaker, and people benefit from it.
