Is "the Messiah - peace be upon him -" said, and what is its evidence?

The legitimacy of sending blessings and salutations upon 'Isa and all other prophets and messengers is established by the hadith: "Send blessings upon Allah's prophets and messengers, for Allah sent them." There is no harm in calling 'Isa simply "Al-Masih" (the Messiah), as this is mentioned in the Quran: "Never would the Messiah disdain to be a servant of Allah."
