هل غسل الملابس الجديدة قبل ارتدائها لأول مرة من السنة؟

It is commendable for a Muslim to say, upon wearing new clothes: "O Allah, to You be praise. You have clothed me with it. I ask You for its good and the good for which it was made, and I seek refuge in You from its evil and the evil for which it was made." As for washing new clothes before wearing them, there is no evidence in the Sunnah or statement from any of the early Muslims (Salaf) that recommends this. However, it is medically advisable due to the possibility of bacteria or chemical pollutants, and this is not contrary to Islamic law, which encourages safeguarding the body's well-being and cleanliness.
