Is a husband sinful and deserving of punishment from Allah if he forces his wife to live with his divorced sister and her daughter? And does the marriage become null and void, or is the wife harmed, if she is not given her right to an independent dwelling?

It is the wife's right to have a residence separate from the husband's family, such as his sister. The husband's failure to enable his wife to have this does not invalidate the marriage, but the husband incurs sin by doing so, unless he gives her a choice between remaining with his sister or divorce. The wife's maintenance takes precedence over the sister's maintenance. The wife is advised to be patient and help her husband maintain ties with his sister. If she is unable to do so, she may seek a divorce or refer the matter to the Sharia court.
