Do the two sisters and the sons and daughters of the brother inherit from the deceased, and what is the share of each heir?

For two sisters in an inheritance, there are four scenarios:

1. If the two sisters are full-sisters (shaqiqah) or paternal half-sisters (li-ab): Their share is two-thirds, based on the verse: "But if there are two, they shall have two-thirds of what he left." The remainder goes to the male sons of the brother. 2. If one is a full-sister and the other is a paternal half-sister: The full-sister receives one-half, and the paternal half-sister receives one-sixth as a complement to the two-thirds. 3. If the two sisters are maternal half-sisters (li-umm): Their share is one-third, based on the verse: "But if they are more than that, they are sharers in one-third." 4. If one is a full-sister or a paternal half-sister, and the other is a maternal half-sister: The first receives one-half, based on the verse: "And if he has a sister, she will have half of what he leaves," and the second receives one-sixth, based on the verse: "Then for each of them is the sixth."

The male sons of the brother are 'asabah (residuaries) and take what remains after the two sisters in all the aforementioned scenarios, and it is distributed equally among them. It is advisable to refer to the Sharia courts for the division of the inheritance.
