Was the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, born in the eighth month of pregnancy, and is it true that a baby born in the eighth month does not live?

This is a myth not supported by Sharia, reason, or reality. Al-Qurtubi, citing Al-Tabari, mentioned that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was conceived by his mother on the day of Ashura and was born on the twelfth night of Ramadan. Thus, his gestation period was eight months and two days from the ninth [month]. Every baby born after the minimum gestation period (six months) can survive, whether born in the seventh, eighth, or ninth month. If the Prophet had a miraculous distinction in this regard, it would be fitting for everyone born like him to survive.
