The behavior of exchanging keepsake notebooks in schools and universities is a Western tradition that violates the Islamic regulations aimed at blocking avenues of temptation between the sexes. It prohibits mixing and softening of speech, based on the Almighty's saying: (And let them not strike their feet so as to make known what they conceal of their adornment). Therefore, a girl who fears Allah does not do that, and contents herself with her close female friends.
