What is commonly circulated among the public, that the lines on the palms of the hands indicate the ninety-nine Beautiful Names of Allah, and that the difference between them indicates the age of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, is an innovated saying for which there is no evidence, and it resembles the fabrications of storytellers and the delusions of common folk. Sheikh Ibn Baz and Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen have both affirmed that this saying has no basis.
