Does a wedding dress, which is often long, fall under the ruling of one who drags his garment out of pride?

Scholars unanimously agree on the permissibility for women to lengthen their garments, with a maximum length of one cubit (dhira') or less. They cite the narration from Umm Salama, may Allah be pleased with her, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "(They may lengthen it by) a hand-span." Umm Salama said: "Then their feet will be uncovered." He said: "Then they may lengthen it by a cubit, and not exceed that." Therefore, it is permissible for a woman to lengthen her dress for the purpose of covering. However, exceeding one cubit is not permissible, even if it is for the purpose of covering. If lengthening is done out of pride, then it is forbidden for both men and women.

Based on this, if a long wedding dress exceeds one cubit in length, it falls under forbidden lengthening. If it is accompanied by pride, its prohibition becomes even more severe.
