Among the baseness and ill-manners of a husband is mistreating his wife and threatening her with taking the children and expelling her from the home. This is not the conduct of believers. The custody of children is a right for the mother after separation, if they are within the age of custody. Abortion is forbidden, even if the fetus is in the nutfah (sperm-drop) stage, so how much more so when it is in its third month? A woman should not commit the folly of aborting her fetus due to her husband's mistreatment.
