Ablution remains valid unless there is certainty of the emission of gas. One is not obligated to repeat a prayer due to doubt about breaking ablution during it. It is disliked to begin prayer while suppressing the urge to pass gas. If this occurs during prayer, it is not prescribed to exit the prayer unless there is fear of harm from holding it in and suppressing it. In that case, the worshiper should interrupt their prayer, perform ablution, and recommence. If the emission of gas is frequent, to the point of being continuous ( سلس ), then the person experiencing this condition has specific rulings that apply to them.
