How was the Prophet's mustache, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and did he trim it or shave it with a razor?

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to trim his mustache, and Ibrahim, peace be upon him, also did so. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded the trimming of mustaches and the letting of beards grow. Many scholars interpreted "trim the mustaches" as taking what extended over the lip. This is supported by his action, peace and blessings be upon him, with Mughirah ibn Shu'bah, where he placed a miswak under his mustache and trimmed it. Five of the Prophet's companions were seen trimming their mustaches. The most probable view is that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to trim his mustache until the edge of the lip became visible.
