The answer

Ibn Kathir and Al-Razi mentioned that Pharaoh tested Moses when Moses plucked something from his beard, and Pharaoh intended to kill him. Asiyah said: "He is a child who does not comprehend, and the proof of this is that if a date and a live coal are brought near him, he will be presented with them, and he will take the coal." They did not mention a chain of narration for the story, and Al-Naysaburi attributed it to Ibn Abbas. The fact that it is from the Israʼiliyat does not prevent its mention, as it is permissible to narrate such things from them without asserting their truthfulness, due to the hadith in Al-Bukhari: "Narrate from the Children of Israel, and there is no harm," and "Do not believe the People of the Book, nor disbelieve them, but say: 'We believe in Allah and what has been revealed to us and what has been revealed to you.'"
