Who are the soldiers of Allah? And do angels, birds, locusts, lice, and frogs fall under the description of Allah's soldiers, in accordance with His saying: "And none knows the soldiers of your Lord except He"?

The verse: "And none knows the hosts of your Lord except He" (74:31) came in the context of discussing the guardians of Hellfire, who are angels. It was a response to Abu Jahl, who belittled the number of angels. This verse indicates that the number of Allah's angels, whom He created to punish the people of Hellfire, is known only to Allah, and that the angels themselves do not all know one another. Allah's hosts include angels and other creations, such as the flood, locusts, lice, frogs, and blood that were sent as punishment upon Pharaoh and his people.
