Is it permissible to allude to oneself when performing good deeds, such as the one who gives charity saying to the needy, "This money is from a doer of good," when he means himself, or not to put his name on a charitable work and instead write "Abdullah" (servant of God)?

You are not at fault for this type of allusion, and we hope that Allah will make you, through it, among the people of secret charity and hidden good deeds. For the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever among you can have a hidden store of righteous deeds, let him do so."
