What is the Hadith in which the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "May Allah curse the male and female image-makers"? And what is meant by this Hadith?

Several authentic prophetic traditions prohibit image-making (taswir), among them the hadith: "The people who will be most severely punished on the Day of Resurrection are the image-makers (al-musawwirun)," and the hadith: "The Prophet (peace be upon him) cursed the woman who tattoos and the one who has herself tattooed... and he cursed the image-makers." The prohibition refers to the complete imaging of animate beings, whether sculpted or drawn, in a lifelike pose. As for photography (habs al-dhill - literally, 'capturing the shadow'), there is a difference of opinion regarding it.
