Is the 'iddah (waiting period) necessary for a divorced Kitabiyyah (woman from the People of the Book), and is the guardian (wali) required for marriage?

The Christian woman, like the Muslim woman, observes the waiting period (iddah (definition)) in cases of divorce and death. There is no difference between them regarding the rulings and conditions of marriage. Thus, a guardian (wali) is required for her, and her marriage must be witnessed by two just Muslim witnesses. If she has no guardian, or if her guardian is Muslim, the judge marries her, because he is the guardian of those who have no guardian.
