The answer

It appears that people on the Day of Resurrection will be called by their names, attributed to their fathers, not to their mothers, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Indeed, a treacherous person will have a banner raised for him on the Day of Resurrection. It will be said: This is the treachery of so-and-so, son of so-and-so." Al-Qurtubi weakened the opinion of some commentators who said that "Imam" in the verse (YAWMA NAD'U KULLA UNĀSIN BI-IMĀMIHIM) [On the Day when We shall call every group of people with their Imam] refers to mothers, citing the aforementioned hadith as evidence.
