What is the ruling on the prayer of one who erred in the opening takbir (takbirat al-ihram) by saying a single takbir with the intention of it being both the opening takbir and the bowing takbir, and is it permissible to say that Allah overlooks this error?

Whoever catches the Imam while he is bowing should pronounce the opening Takbeer (Takbeerat Al-Ihram) and then bow. This single Takbeer suffices for the Takbeer of bowing, though it is better to pronounce two Takbeers: one for the opening and another for bowing. Therefore, his prayer is valid.
