Is the father's opinion correct in refusing to marry his daughter to a young man of good character and religious commitment, on the grounds that he does not own a house, and what is the daughter's recourse in this matter, Islamically speaking?

It is advisable to try to convince the father to agree to the marriage with the suitable suitor, even if he does not own a house, on the condition that rented accommodation is available. However, if the father insists on refusing, then the advice is to obey him and not disobey him. Nevertheless, if the man is suitable and the father has no valid reason for his refusal, then the matter may be referred to the court to marry her to the suitable suitor, and this is not considered disobedience.
