Is publishing pictures of veiled women on social media permissible or forbidden?

If a woman wears a full niqab, a complete hijab from which nothing appears that would lead to fitna (including her eyes), then there is no harm in posting her picture on social media, even if there is no need for it.

However, if her eyes appear in the picture, she should not post it. The warning is further emphasized if her eyes are beautiful and cause fitna. Some Shafi'i scholars have explicitly stated the impermissibility of looking at a niqabi whose eyes are visible, especially if she is beautiful, because "how many daggers are there in the eyelids."
