What is the ruling on seeking to see God’s signs (ayat Allah) to affirm the heart, achieve tranquility, and attain the certainty of sight (ayn al-yaqeen), following the example of Ibrahim (peace be upon him)? And how should this supplication be made, if permissible?

It is permissible to supplicate that Allah show you a sign to increase faith and strengthen certainty. The manner of supplication is determined by the supplicant's desire. So, you can say: "O Allah, show me such and such a sign," and name it.
