The questioner must repent immediately and strive to please his parents. If the father insists on divorcing the wife, then he must be obeyed, because his command is not born of caprice, and divorcing the wife in this case is not like divorcing her if she were righteous. So what if this wife is unrighteous? The parents' pleasure should not be opposed by marriage to a woman who can be replaced by a better one, especially since the Sharia encourages marriage to a woman of religiosity. Obedience to parents is obligatory if they command the divorce of the wife, even if the husband loves her, because they are the servant's path to Paradise.
