Is it permissible for my mother to give me money from her?

If the mother is sane and of sound judgment, she is permitted to dispose of her wealth through gifting. She may gift her son whatever she wishes. However, if the wealth exceeds one-third, then according to some scholars, she must seek her husband's permission.
