What is the ruling on discarding a paper that contains the name of Allah the Almighty out of laziness, not out of intent to demean or mock?

A paper bearing the name of Allah must be respected and placed in a suitable location, or disposed of by burning or similar means, but not discarded. What you did by discarding it was a mistake, and you should not repeat it. Your remorse for it is repentance, and do not open yourself to the whispers of mockery and contempt. Verily, whoever repents, Allah accepts his repentance.
