Adultery is a grave sin, and its offense is compounded if the woman is married, and its punishment is more severe. The adulterer must offer sincere repentance. It is impermissible to corrupt a woman against her husband, and this is forbidden and a great sin. Marriage to a woman observing her iddah (waiting period) is invalid, and they must be separated.
