What is the ruling on frequent swearing and then retracting the oath and doing the sworn-upon act, along with fasting three days? Is there a sin in this?

A Muslim should not make many oaths, because Allah says: "And do not make [your oath by] Allah an obstacle to your doing good," and because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, an oath is either a breach or regret." If he swears an oath concerning multiple things, then an expiation is due for each oath. If the oaths are repeated concerning one thing, and he has not expiated for what has passed, then one expiation suffices him. The expiation is: feeding ten poor persons, or clothing them, or freeing a slave. The one making expiation has a choice. If he cannot find [any of these], then he must fast for three days. One should not resort to fasting except when unable to perform the three aforementioned acts. To limit the multitude of oaths, one must control the tongue and remember the noble Hadith.
