It is recommended to read the story of Yusuf in the Quran and reflect on its verses, and to use books of Tafsir (exegesis) to understand it and extract lessons and benefits. Tafsir al-Sa'di is particularly recommended. One can also refer to what has been narrated from the People of the Book in books of Tafsir, history, and biographies, such as "Al-Bidayah wa al-Nihayah" by Ibn Kathir, and books on the stories of the prophets, in addition to the Tafsirs of Ibn Kathir, Al-Baghawi, and Al-Qurtubi.
