Is using hair gel, which is applied to the hair to give it shine and maintain its style, impermissible (haram) or permissible (halal)?

The ruling on the gel resulting from the processing of animal gelatin depends on the origin of the substance and how the animal was slaughtered. If the animal was slaughtered according to Islamic law (dhabihah) and its meat is permissible to eat, then the gel is pure (tahir) and permissible to use. However, if it comes from an animal that died naturally (carrion) or an animal that was not slaughtered according to Islamic law, then it is impure (najis) and it is forbidden to benefit from it. If the cream is free of animal gelatin or if the gelatin is taken from an animal slaughtered according to Islamic law, then there is no objection to using it, as long as it does not cause harm.
