Do Moroccans claim successive transmission (tawātur) in the isnāds of some turuq from Imam Nafi‘, such as the طريق of ‘Abd al-Ṣamad al-‘Atīqī from Warsh? And is this claim valid? And is it permissible to recite with those turuq?

The Scientific Committee for the Review of the Medina Mushaf issued a fatwa prohibiting teaching with variant readings (awjuh) that deviate from the Ten Canonical Readings, including those mentioned in Al-Dani's book "Al-Ta'reef." The committee affirmed that scholars have examined these variants and distinguished the sound from the unsound among them. Sheikh Abdul Hadi Hamito criticized this fatwa in his research "The Ten Naafi' Readings and the Perpetuation of Their Recitation Among Moroccans," and promised to present a second part proving the continuous transmission of these readings in Morocco through various chains of transmission.
