What is the difference between my question and other fatwas?

It is forbidden for a Muslim to have a relationship of friendship and affection with a disbeliever, whether male or female. If the relationship is with a foreign woman, the matter is even more strictly forbidden. This prohibition does not mean that one should not treat them kindly, do good to them, and invite them to Islam. It is permissible to engage in dialogue with them in public forums, but not in private chat rooms.
