What is the ruling on elastic hair ties that contain colored hair or hair the same color as one's own?

It is not permissible for a woman to add hair extensions to her hair, due to the warning (or curse) against it. For, "Allah has cursed the woman who applies hair extensions and the woman who asks for them to be applied." Some scholars have held that it is forbidden to add anything to the hair, based on the narration that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, "forbade a woman from adding anything to her head." Others have maintained that what is forbidden is only adding hair to hair. As for hair ties that mix with the hair and appear as if they are attached to it, they fall under the meaning of forbidden hair extensions.
