Is it permissible for a woman praying at home to perform the two Rak'ahs of the Fajr supererogatory prayer after the iqamah for the (Fajr) prayer?
A woman who is not in the mosque at the time of the Iqama (call to commence prayer) may pray the Fajr Sunnah (supererogatory prayers) as long as there is sufficient time for her to pray both the Sunnah and the Fajr obligatory prayer. The time for the Fajr Sunnah is between the appearance of the true dawn (Fajr As-Sadiq) and the performance of the Fajr obligatory prayer. It is preferable to pray the Fajr Sunnah and the obligatory prayer early after the time for prayer begins, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, "was not more assiduous in performing any supererogatory prayer than he was concerning the two rak'ahs before Fajr," and "I have not seen the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, hastening to perform any supererogatory prayer more than he hastened to perform the two rak'ahs before Fajr."
