The answer

It is permissible for a father to take from his son's wealth, based on the saying of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him: "You and your wealth belong to your father," and "Indeed, the best of what you eat is from your earnings, and indeed, your children are from your earnings." However, this is subject to the following conditions: that the father does not harm the son, that he does not give the money to another child, that the taking does not occur during the death sickness of either of them, that the father is not a disbeliever while the son is a Muslim, that the wealth is an existing tangible asset, and that possession is taken with a statement or intention.
