How do we respond to a child who asks about the existence of Allah the Almighty and His temporal existence, and other embarrassing questions?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

The child must be informed of God's existence and the proofs of His existence should be explained through cosmic signs, as He is the Creator of everything, and it is impossible for these creatures to exist without a Creator. If the child insists on seeing God, they should be told that He cannot be seen in this world but only in Paradise. Their mind should be diverted from thinking about God's essence to contemplating His signs and blessings, as the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "Ponder over the bounties of Allah, and do not ponder over Allah." As for the time of His existence, the child should be told that He is the First, and there was nothing before Him, and that He is the Creator of time and space.
