What should a woman do if discharge continues to be emitted after intercourse and she feels something exit during prayer; should she repeat the ghusl or just wudu in this case?
If the discharge is semen (maniyy), you must wait for it to stop, then perform (ritual bath) and pray. If it is discharged after ghusl, there is a difference of opinion regarding the obligation of repeating the ghusl. If it is pre-seminal fluid (madhiy), you must perform wudu’ (ablution) and cleanse whatever it has touched on your body and clothes. As for normal discharges, only wudu’ is required, and they are considered pure according to the most preponderant opinion. If you are in doubt between semen and pre-seminal fluid, you may choose between them. Prayer is not permissible except after the discharge has stopped and you have purified yourself from it. If you fear the time for prayer will expire, you should perform wudu’ and pray like someone afflicted with urinary incontinence (sals).
