What is the ruling on a husband compelling his wife, who is able to delegate him to stone the jamarat, instead of her waiting for the time designated for women and the weak?

The ruling on appointing an agent for Rami (stoning) for a pilgrim who is able to perform it himself is that it is not permissible, and a دم (sacrifice) becomes due. As for a woman whose husband forced her to appoint an agent for Rami, if the coercion is not religiously valid, then a دم is due from her. However, if the coercion is religiously valid (such as severe beating or imprisonment), then nothing is binding upon her, based on the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Indeed, Allah has pardoned for my Ummah their mistakes, their forgetfulness, and what they are coerced into," provided that the coercion prevented her from performing the Rami herself.
