What is the difference between the miracles of the Auliya (saints) and sorcery, charlatanism, and dealing with Jinn? And is informing someone about others' dealings with Jinn, whom they have not met, considered a miracle for them?

The اہل السنة والجماعة (Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah) have agreed upon the affirmation of the miracles (karamat) of the awliya' (saints). These are extraordinary occurrences (khawariq lil-'adat) that Allah brings about through them as a mercy to creation and a support for truth, and the person experiencing them is steadfast upon the Sharia. As for the extraordinary occurrences of charlatans and sorcerers, these are not miracles (karamat); rather, they are actions of the enemies of Allah, and they are often associated with disbelief (kufr) and wickedness (fisq), their cause being Satan. They are not acceptable for anyone whose extraordinary occurrences are not attained through acts of worship and obedience. It is not permissible to believe charlatans and sorcerers or to consult them, even if they sometimes speak the truth, because they mix truth with falsehood, and whatever truth they speak is what the jinn snatch from the news of the heavens.
