What is the ruling on taking money in exchange for allowing the display of advertisements that include gambling and images of women on the device, without viewing or accessing them?

Online advertisements and other media are considered a form of ijarah (leasing/hiring) and fall into two categories:

1. If the advertisements are for permissible things, and are free from Shariah violations in their content and contract, then there is no harm in them.

2. If the advertisements are for forbidden things or assist in haram, or if they include Shariah violations in their content (such as forbidden images of women or music) or in the ijarah contract (such as ambiguity or gharar (excessive uncertainty)), then they are forbidden. It is not a condition that they be viewed for them to be forbidden.
