Is it permissible to attend banquets in a hall that is used at other times for parties involving prohibited things, given that I live in a Muslim city with wedding halls, some of which are used for parties with forbidden music and alcohol, while others are only for banquets without music, with segregation between men and women?

It is obligatory not to witness evil and to avoid the people of falsehood in their state of falsehood and in their place. It is permissible to sit with disbelievers as long as one does not engage in falsehood. It is forbidden to sit with oppressors and immoral people when they openly display evil deeds. It is permissible to enter upon them for a purpose, such as admonition, and it is obligatory to denounce their actions. Halls should be avoided when evil deeds are present therein, but they are permissible when free of such deeds. The organizers should be advised not to rent them to those who commit evil deeds.
