These claims are not new; rather, they are an extension of the enemies' plot against this religion. The Holy Quran was revealed by Allah, the All-Knowing, the All-Aware, and there is no contradiction within it. The eloquent Arabs who witnessed the revelation of the Quran were unable to discredit it, so how can someone ignorant of the Arabic language do so? The alleged contradiction in the Quranic verses regarding the People of the Book stems from ignorance of the language or the writer's bias. Those among the People of the Book who were exempted in some verses include those who believed in the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), such as An-Najashi and Abdullah ibn Salam. The claim that Allah forgets is an ignorance of the Arabic language, for Allah is far removed from forgetfulness. The word "nisyan" (forgetfulness) in Arabic can also mean "to abandon" or "to leave." Muslims must learn about their religion, the Quran, and its sciences to refute these misconceptions, and scholars must disseminate religious knowledge. It is impermissible for common folk to visit websites of misguided people, for fear of being influenced. However, it is permissible for those who possess religious knowledge and the ability to refute and engage in dialogue.
