Is homosexuality acquired, or is it a tribulation from God by which He tests a person's patience, and how can the noble verse "We have certainly created man in the best of stature" be interpreted in this context?

The correct view is that Allah created all of creation equal upon the natural disposition (fitra). The statement that homosexuality is inherent in the nature of some people is incorrect. The meaning of Allah's saying, "We have certainly created man in the best of stature" (Quran 95:4), is his moderation, the uprightness of his youth, the beauty of his form, the perfection of his intellect and strength, or his natural inclination towards faith. It is possible to deduce from the generality of the verse that Allah created humans free from perversion, because the soundness of the fitra includes freedom from perversion.
