Is it permissible to straighten and blow-dry hair (ironing it) for the pre-marital viewing (al-Nadhra al-Shar'iyya), and is that considered cheating, especially if a protein treatment has been done to the hair?

The preponderant view, in our opinion, is that it is not permissible for the suitor to look at anything of the fiancée other than her face and hands. Therefore, there is no need to inform him of what you mentioned.
