What are the two holy places?

There is no sanctuary (haram) on Earth except the sanctuary of Mecca and Medina. Nothing else is called a sanctuary, such as the sanctuary of Jerusalem or Hebron, for these are not sanctuaries by the agreement of Muslims. Muslims have not disputed a third sanctuary except for "Wajj," which is a valley in Ta'if, and Sheikh Ibn 'Uthaymin affirmed that it is not a sanctuary.
