What is the ruling regarding a clear, colorless fluid exiting a young man upon waking in the morning, and does it necessitate ghusl?

Semen alone necessitates ghusl (ritual bath), unlike pre-seminal fluid (madhy) and prostatic fluid (wady). These excretions can be easily distinguished if they occur while awake. However, during sleep, the default is that ghusl is obligatory upon finding wetness, even if one does not recall a wet dream, based on the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) statement: "A man finds wetness but does not recall a wet dream?" He replied: "He should perform ghusl." However, ghusl is not required if he sees a wet dream but finds no wetness. If he doubts whether it is semen or pre-seminal fluid, the default is ghusl to absolve oneself, unless it becomes clear by its characteristics that it is pre-seminal fluid, in which case ghusl is not required; rather, he should wash what it has affected. Women are subject to the same ruling in this regard as men.
