Is it permissible, Islamically, to name the depressions or storms, which are blessings from Allah, after females, and why specifically females?

Naming a hurricane an "aṣifa" (storm) is not prohibited because Arabs traditionally considered all winds feminine, and the word "aṣifa" is feminine. This is not among the exclusive rituals of the disbelievers.
