Should the worshiper wait for the Imam to complete his bowing (rukuʿ) if he is praying directly behind him, or should he bow immediately after the Imam finishes the takbirat al-intiqal, knowing that the worshiper might precede the Imam in bowing?

The worshiper says "Allahu Akbar" (God is Greatest) at the beginning of moving from one pillar (Rukn) to another, and finishes saying "Allahu Akbar" when the movement is complete. If the Imam finishes the "Takbir" of transition before the end of the Rukn, the follower waits for his Imam.
